The fifth annual NEURON satellite meeting will bring together a panel of leading neuroscientists, speaking on a range of topics related to the development and function of representational maps in the nervous system. In addition to the talks, a poster session will provide an opportunity for students and post-doctoral fellows to present their work.

We are pleased to be hosting this meeting on the UCSD campus. On the Friday following the ?NEURONs on the Map? meeting, UCSD will be hosting special symposium in honor of Carla Shatz: ?Fire together, wire together: the development and plasticity of neural circuits.? Registrants for the NEURON meeting are invited to attend the Shatz symposium on Friday November 2nd, 10am-5pm at the Weaver Center, UCSD.
